Personality
Although he is quite reserved, he is not very soft spoken. Cathan prefers to be on his own, or with close friends. He may not exactly be uptight, but he does, at least subconciously, consider himself better than others.Cathan prefers to talk about himself and his point of view, often accidentally ignoring other's thoughts and feelings to get his point across.
About
He spends most of his time in Gridania/The Black Shroud, as it feels like home to him.
He rarely tries new things, and is reluctant to put effort into something he is unsure he will see through until the end.
He also spends a lot of his time researching the Calamity. He often will interview people about their experiences of the time, with little regard for personal boundaries. He seems to have a strange affinity towards Bahamut.

His Father was a pure Miqo’te, and his Mother was ½ Miqo’te ½ Viera.
He shares most traits with the moon clan.
His mother passed away in childbirth, and he left his father when he was young, 13, to adventure with Catalina.
